So glad to have discovered this gem! Everything was incredibly delicious and seasoned to perfection. I had the French toast platter and the Mac n cheese and will definitely purchase these items again. The home fries had an interesting seasoning (maybe Cajun?) that I believe the fries were seasoned with as well. I'm a sucker for potatoes in any form so I really enjoyed those. I didn't try the grilled cheese burger or the chicken and waffles but was told that they were both extremely tasty. I'm glad to see a black owned business with pretty affordable and reasonable prices! The portions are huge and filling - making it worth the price.
It was a cold walk there and back to the car but well worth it. When I ordered the grilled cheeseburger I kind of knew what to expect but this exceeded my expectations. What you're looking at is a hamburger cut in two with the bun and another slice of bread made into a grilled cheese. So actually you get four sandwiches, two hamburgers and two grilled cheese. Yeah, I only ate half and saved the rest for later. They make a bacon apple jelly that you can get in the hamburger which adds a sweetness like the glaze of a honey baked ham. Both mozzarella and cheddar go into the grilled cheese, I think. The fries are well seasoned, a nice side compliment to any meal.
I wanted to order ahead of time since I was coming from work on my lunch break but no one answered the phone so I drove over. At first glance, I didn't think they were open. They have dark tints and you can't see inside. I got the curry shrimp, which was tasty and well seasoned. I waited awhile but the food appeared to be freshly made. I would go back to try more of their menu.
This is not a place to walk to - this is a place to run to!!! I finally made it here and it was so worth it. I had been craving jerk wings all week since I had a terrible batch (from another business) at an event I went to last weekend. I placed my order online via their website, showed up 30 minutes later, was greeted right away and my food was ready! The jerk wings came with mac b cheese! I got home and got right into it! Well after I washed my hands of course. It was so filling and I still have leftovers! I will be back to try other items on their menu. Definitely recommend checking out this local black owned business!
Food here is pretty good, not bad at all. Ordered from here 2-3 times in the past and the standout winner is definitely the jerk wings and mac and cheese. *chef's kiss* Had some of their breakfast/brunch items, not bad, just okay, and I would probably steer clear of their grits. There's nothing special about their grits. But I definitely suggest other items on their menu, especially the lunch/dinner eats. Will definitely try new menu items in the future.
